A free shredding and medication drop-off event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 10 in the parking lot of Moore Norman Technology Center’s South Penn Campus, at SW 134 and Pennsylvania Avenue.

The event is coordinated by the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, with presenting sponsor MidFirst Bank and host sponsors Pioneer Library System and Moore Norman Technology Center. Shredding will be provided by Riteway Shredding.

New this year is a medication drop-off. Oklahoma City police will have two officers available to dispose of expired or unwanted medications in a safe and secure way, according to a news release.

The event is open to the public and designed for those wanting to shred unwanted or sensitive documents in a safe way. All documents brought to the event will be securely shredded.

Examples of things that can be shredded are tax documents, legal contracts and credit card statements and bills. There is a limit of five boxes per person.
